New marking equipment

We have invested in a new marking laser system, a TruMark Station 5000 from Trumpf, which will help us in future deliveries in above all medical technology when it comes to surface structuring and marking.

Application in medical technology

Together with a customer we have recently developed a unique process to produce a structure that we truly believe has a large market within medical technology. In this case, it involvs covering titanium bone screws with small melt bulges, around 2-20 micrometers in diameter. This structure triggers an up to four times faster production of bone cells compared to a smooth surface, explains technology manager Rickard Olsson, who also sees great potential for developming other new products using this techonolgy.

Laser Nova aims to deliver products with high demands on precision, accuracy and quality. In retrospect, we can say with certainty that Trumpf has understood our needs and helped us find the right machine. The purchase of the TruMark Station 5000 strengthens Laser nova's position as a leading supplier in precision laser processing.

We already have specialist expertise in microlaser processing and have long supplied marking, welding, drilling and cutting for components in medical technology.

"Now we know that we can offer both higher quality and higher capacity with the new machine," says Technical Manager Rickard Olsson.
